I still watch that show too. And I think you're right about the drinking. They all look a little Toasty.

apparently it is the top-rated show on the Game Show Network. I remember it well. I loved Richard Dawson, but apparently he didn't socialize with the other regulars.

The thing that made Match Game rock was the same thing that made The Carol Burnett Show rock. It wasn't work to these people. It was a party, and we were the guests of honor. They included us in all the inside jokes, they never took themselves too seriously. They loved making us laugh.

And you could really see their personalities...I mean who they really were. For example, you could tell the Rayburn and Reilly were the best of friends.

What a shame that so much of today's TV celebrates the worst in people. Be the biggest bully, win a million dollars. Be the best liar, win 500K!
