Toronto Blue Jays First Game 1977 This is what the field looked like at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto on April 7, 1977 when the Toronto Blue Jays prepared to play the first baseball game in franchise history. Amazingly, the game was played--there were too many people in the crowd to call it off. The Jays downed the Chicago White Sox 9-5 in the snowy conditions.

Do they still stage events at Exhibition Stadium? What became of the Jarry Park where the Expos used to play?

Exhibition Stadium faced the wrecking ball many years ago. I believe the former site is now a parking lot on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition.

Jarry Park was converted into a tennis stadium. Whenever a pro tour event is held in Montreal, that's where it's held.
