Vic Mizzy 1916-2009 Unless you pay close attention to TV and movie credits, you may not have heard of Vic Mizzy, but you've certainly heard his work. Mizzy, who died at age 93 on October 17, 2009 composed the familiar TV themes for The Addams Family and Green Acres. He also wrote the music for Shirley Temple's Storybook and most of Don Knotts' movies. Mizzy is pictured here between Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor on the set of Green Acres.

I only heard about it because the host of an afternoon radio program mentioned it yesterday. He then got people to call in to state their favorite TV theme songs.
