Another tear jerker, folks. On a 1981 appearance on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Stewart read a poem about his dog. It brought laughs and tears.

In Canada we used to get the Tonight Show tape delayed by one day. This clip was talked about so much it ended up on the six o'clock news the next night. I bet lots of people tuned in that night to the broadcast to see it again.

Well Lava, you did it, you've gotten to me with that one. You've got me remembering all our babies again. I've got my Golden Retriever Buddy-Beans sleeping next to my desk as he always does, waiting for me to go to bed. He just got half of my ice pop because I looked at him with those big brown eyes and thought of that poem.
