Christopher Cross Live Sailing The song that marked the 70's and 80's decades of music styles. Maybe the song that created the AOR (Adult Oriented Rock)genre.

Chris Cross and America? I'm looking forward to that one! My favorite of his is Think of Laura, and yes, I used to be a manic GH fan, but besides that, this is such a haunting song that you don;t hear anymore.

And for you Marty:
Christopher Cross released his third album Every Turn of the World in 1985. However, the album failed to produce any top 40 hits, and did not sell well. He went on to make three more albums in the 90's and although some of his releases have gained critical response, he failed to catch the mass audience he once enjoyed. He's toured and opened for various acts since the 90's and also released his second Greatest Hits package in 2002.

This song was huge in Canada. I agree. It did seem to usher in a new type of pop music.
