He was the only thing that Da Bears had in the early years of his career. He was a football version of Ernie Banks.

He was one of the best running backs ever to play in the NFL! He left us way to soon.

Barry Sanders retired just before beating Walter Paytons record. He respected him that much! Class!

Everyone has their own opinions. In my opinion, Walter Payton is the BEST running back to ever play the game. I am so glad that I actually got to see him play one time, when the Bears played Tampa. He didn't disappoint, jumping over the pile-up at the end zone for a touchdown. An awesome memory for me!
