Father Mulcahy MASH Interview Some of the most innovative episodes of MASH were those that featured the characters being interviewed by a newsreel crew. One of the most memorable sequences was when Father Mulcahy was asked if he had been changed by his wartime experiences.

This statement was culled from an actual diary of an American army surgeon in Korea. The producers of MASH were just looking for the best time to use it. They found it here.

In my opinion, this was the closest thing to what a veteran actually felt. I am, of course, speaking as a person who was not involved in the Korean conflict, since I was too young to really know what was involved. But, I really got a sense of what went on-this was a great series!
