Have researched many black divas.

Timi was never mentioned by them and thats odd. They reffered to high quality singers of jazz and soul regardless of race.

In fact I believe Piaff should've sung with Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan.

Nina Simone actually left America in disgust for Europe. Her and Piaff would've been great together.
