In 1969 he moved to WKBD-TV in Southfield, Michigan and continued hosting the show until retiring to Florida (1956-1981)....The format of his program was to feature a vintage movie during which Bill would give pertinent information & and provided anecdotes about the actors, directors and about the production of the movies he showed, etc. Also, Kennedy's voice is heard doing the opening narration of the television series Adventures of Superman!

Listen to this about - Mistaken Identity,

When the headline Kennedy has been shot hit the air waves in Detroit, telephone calls flooded the Channel 9 television station in Windsor, Ontario.

People first thought Bill Kennedy, not the President, had been killed.

He was that popular.
I learned so much from this man!

Sounds like he had the same type of job as a fellow named Elwy Yost who hosted 'At The Movies' on TV Ontario for years.

On the other hand Do any of you remember those guys that would dress up, to scare you...and show those scary or creepy MOVIES, maybe on a Saturday afternoon...or late night???? I liked those shows too!

(Like that Movie, with Danny Devito - Jack the Bear (1993) .... as John Leary.)

In Detroit, we had -
Sir Graves Ghastly And The Ghoul!
