If This Were Your Site What Would You Do Next It's been a while since we have made any changes to the site. I'm honored when so many come here on a daily and weekly basis and the friendships that have been made. It leads me to believe there can be more done here to foster these friendships. What do you recommend?

Here's a thought: Do you think there might be enough mutual interest to have a get-together sometime for those who wanted to meet in person?

I would love to participate in a get-together, depending on where it was located. This is a great site, one of my absolute favorites. It always gets my mind working and I'm amazed at the things I remember! Brings a smile to me each every morning!

Remember in the 60's when teen actors had to record songs? Paul Peterson from the Donna Reed show recorded She can't find her keys and My Dad, always makes me sad. And of course Shelly Fabres. Then there was Patty Duke who cut an album. And Jonny Crawford of The Rifleman with Cindys Gonna Cry, Cindys Birthday and Rumors. John Wayne shot Johnny Crawford in the movie El Dorado, By the way.

I recommend running a poll to find the top five things people would like to see added, eg; chatroom, message board, new subjects category, regional specific items of interest...

I would determine what the motivated people join, what keeps people coming back, and why some people join and then drift away (what holds their interest). Why do some people do not drift away and what holds their interest?

I would let new members (and old members) know (flashing sign, whatever...) please join in, all comments and participation welcome and solicted. They will enhance the knowledge and fun for all.

And, a get-together of like-minded folks is always enjoyable. Like LPROUD, it would depend on location, location, location.

Jed's suggestions are very good, I think.

If you are going to conduct a poll, I suggest you also try to contact the members who used to be here frequently but seem to have drifted away. Their responses would be at least as valuable as those from the folks who are here all the time.

With a chatroom, there is the danger this site will become too big and impersonal as with IMDB.

THat place is nothing less than a maze.

3blackchicks was awesome for a while till they changed their format.

Nevertheless, this site isn't inspiring a wealth of devoted followers managing to keep to intimate levels of fellowship.

But basically, I think nostolgia doesn't attract the numbers. Old school music is the only genre that works, hence the success of American Idol.

Wish Belinda Doolittle was nostolgic
